Frequently Asked Questions

How cold does it get at night inside the Sky Dome?

While the Sky Domes are designed to be thermally efficient and warm, we are at a high altitude. Temperatures can drop below freezing. We provide high-quality sleeping bags, thermal mattresses, and blankets, but we recommend bringing warm layers (thermals and a fleece) for the evening.

Is there electricity in the Sky Dome?

Our domes are designed for immersion in nature. We provide ambient, soft lighting, but please bring a power bank to charge your devices, as main-line electricity is not available at this altitude.

Do I have privacy in the dome?

Absolutely. Your comfort and seclusion are a top priority. Our domes are designed with large, panoramic front windows that offer stunning views of the surrounding mountain peaks, but the roof and sides are fully covered and opaque. This thoughtful layout provides you with a completely private sanctuary where you can relax, change, and sleep with total peace of mind, all while enjoying the spectacular Andean scenery from your bed.

Do the Sky Domes have private bathrooms?

Each of our Sky Domes features a private, en-suite bathroom. You will have your own personal facilities located right within your own sanctuary, ensuring total comfort and hygiene throughout your stay in the mountains.

Is altitude a problem?

The trek reaches elevations over 4,500 meters. We recommend at least 3 days of acclimatization in Cusco or the Sacred Valley before starting this tour. Hydration and coca tea are your best friends!

What if I cannot finish the hike?

Our guides are trained to monitor your health. If you struggle with the elevation, we can often arrange for local horse transport for parts of the trek, provided the terrain allows.

How do I book?

Click the BOOK NOW button on our homepage. We require a $50 deposit to secure your permit and dome accommodation.

Is a guide included?

Yes. The tour includes an experienced English-speaking professional guide.

Are trekking poles included?

No. Trekking poles are available as an optional rental service.
